Random number generation on Ethereum with BlockUnison

Generating random numbers in deterministic blockchain systems is a challenge. There are several approaches to solve the task on Ethereum blockchain, some of them are even patented- and yet inefficient and insecure. Hidden and unknown problems of the most popular methods like including commit&reveal, block-hash usage and oracles will be discussed- with following explanation on how to create a better pseudorandom numbers using Ethereum contracts.

Gleb Urvanov

Blockchain architect at Block Unison, currently focusing on DeFi and general Web3 dApps on Ethereum.
